Maruti Suzuki 1st automobile co.in India to produce 1 Million car in a year

Maruti Suzuki is one of India's top automobile manufacturers Company. It was the first company in India to manufacture and sell more than a million cars.The company's headquarters are located in Delhi.Due to the large number of Maruti 800s sold in the Indian market. Turn over recently the term "Maruti", in popular Indian customs, in India hindu's lord Hanuman is known as "Maruti", was linked to the Maruti 800 model.



"The millionth car manufactured in 2009-10, a glistening red Maruti Suzuki Swift, rolled out from the company's Manesar plant," in the presence of Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister, Haryana and Vilasrao Deshmukh, Union Minister of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises.



Maruti Suzuki India today said it would be investing Rs 1,250 crore to double capacity at its K-series petrol engine unit in Gurgaon to 500,000 by 2012.
