A 5.8-magnitude earthquake rattled Baja Southwest today, and it was felt in San Diego, Phoenix, Tijuana, and even Los Angeles, according to reports. The earthquake hit Baja California at approximately 10:48 local time, at KPSP-2.
Sgt Dennis Gutierrez, spokesman for the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, said the quake was felt in the desert area in the eastern part of the county, but no reported problems.
The epicenter was reported 22 miles southeast of Calexico, across the border from Mexicali, Mexico, and not far from Yuma, Arizona.
