Dennis Hopper Accuses Wife Of Stealing Malevolent

Dennis Lee Hopper born May 17, 1936 is an American actor, filmmaker and artist. Hopper became interested in acting and eventually became a student of the Actors Studio. He made his first television appearance in 1955, and appeared in two films featuring James Dean, Rebel Without a Cause 1955 and Giant 1956. Over the next ten years, Hopper appeared frequently on television in guest roles, and by the end of the 1960s had played supporting roles in several films.

LOS ANGELES – Dennis Hopper is terminally ill and unable to undergo chemotherapy as he battles prostate cancer, his attorney wrote in a court filing. Attorney Joseph Mannis wrote about the "Easy Rider" star's grave condition in a declaration filed Wednesday asserting the actor cannot be questioned by his wife's attorneys in a deposition.

Hopper, 73, currently undergoing chemotherapy for advanced prostate cancer, filed declarations along with his children, doctors and assistant in Los Angeles Superior Court today to support his divorce petition from Duffy-Hopper, 42, his wife of 14 years. An attorney for actor Dennis Hopper has indicated in divorce court filings that the actor is dying and unable to receive chemotherapy treatment for prostate cancer.

Mannis also indicates in the papers, according to the AP, that Hopper cannot tolerate stressful situations and long conversations ,The judge also ruled that Duffy-Hopper may not enter the main Hopper residence in Venice, Calif. or any other portion of the property other than the unit in which she is currently living.


Dennis Hopper is extremely ill from his battle with cancer -- he weighs a little over 100 pounds and is nearly broke, according to new court documents obtained by TMZ. The docs, filed by celebrity attorney Joe Mannis in Hopper's mega-divorce case, paints a grim picture of Hopper's life.
