Butler Bulldogs stuns seed Syracuse in Salt Lake City

The Butler Bulldogs said they weren’t in awe of the top-seeded Syracuse Orange, and then they went out and played like it.

Butler vs Syracuse match will be held at the EnergySolutions Arena, Salt Lake City, in Utah today, March 25, 2010. The match will start at 7:07 p.m. ET.

Syracuse Orange center Arinze Onuaku, who is also considered a potential second-round pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, will be sidelined on their game against Butler. Onuaku has a right leg injury which he got during a Big East tournament quarterfinal game against Georgetown last week, March 11, 2010.
Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim confirmed that Onuaku will not play and he said that Onuaku is getting better but he hasn’t join their practice session yet.

Butler upset the Orange 63-59 Thursday night at EnergySolutions Arena in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 game.

Butler blew a 10-point halftime lead, but made all the big plays in the final three minutes to oust one of the pretournament favorites in Salt Lake City.

The Bulldogs will play the winner of the late Xavier-Kansas State game in the West Region finals on Saturday.
